Camera Movements

Zoom In
The camera zooms in on an object or a person to show something important or something significant

Zoom Out
Camera is zoomed out to show a more broad scene

Tracking
Camera follows what is happening or moving in the scene

Pan
A shot from left to right which could be used to follow a person in a scene

Whip Pan
A shot that moves quickly from left to right. Could be used to track a person running

Arc
Camera moves in an arc shaped movement. The camera moves in a semi circle, depth of field

Crane Shot
Camera is put on a crane to show the scene from a height. Could be used to show a crime scene

Steadicam
Camera is put on a dolly on a track so their is very little camera movement

Ariel Shot
Similar to birds eye view, the scene is shot from a high angle

Hand Held Camera
The camera is held in hand. Maybe used to track somebody running.
